FAQ

IPL – Hair Removal & Skin Refinement

How should I use IPL for hair reduction?

Weeks 1–4:

Treat the area 1–2 times per week. Always shave the area 12–24 hours prior to treatment. Use an intensity level appropriate for your skin tone and comfort.

Weeks 5–8:

Reduce treatments to once weekly as hair regrowth slows.

Maintenance Phase:

Treat once every 4–8 weeks as needed to maintain results.

Consistency is important, as hair grows in cycles and IPL targets follicles during the active growth phase.

How long does it take to see results with IPL?

Most users begin noticing reduced hair regrowth after 3–4 treatments. Optimal results typically occur after a full treatment cycle, as hair grows in phases.

Is IPL permanent?

IPL provides long-term hair reduction. Maintenance sessions may be required over time depending on hormonal factors and individual hair growth patterns.

Can IPL help with acne?

IPL has been studied for acne management by targeting acne-associated bacteria and reducing vascular inflammation. It may support clearer skin over a series of treatments.

Does IPL improve wrinkles?

IPL has been evaluated for photorejuvenation and may support improvements in fine lines, skin texture, and tone over multiple treatments.

How should I use IPL for acne or skin refinement?

Treat the affected area 1–2 times per week for 4–6 weeks.

Reassess skin response and reduce frequency to maintenance sessions every 2–4 weeks if improvement is observed.

Always ensure skin is clean and free of active irritation prior to treatment.

Am I a candidate for IPL?

IPL may not be suitable if you:
• Are pregnant

• Have a history of epilepsy or light-triggered seizures

• Are taking photosensitizing medications (such as certain antibiotics, retinoids, or St. John’s Wort)

• Have active skin infections or open wounds in the treatment area

• Have recently received steroid or cortisone injections

Individuals with deeper skin tones should ensure the device is suitable for their skin type and use appropriate energy settings.
Hormonal conditions and certain medical treatments may also affect results. If you are unsure whether IPL is appropriate for you, consult a qualified healthcare provider prior to use.

Phototherapy – Full-Body Light Therapy

How will I know which light modes to use and where?

We offer a one-time personalized skin analysis. Based on your unique goals, we provide a tailored regimen outlining which wavelengths to focus on and how to use them. This ensures your phototherapy routine is optimized for your needs.

How soon can structural improvements be observed?

Surface-level improvements in tone and clarity may be noticeable within several sessions. Structural changes related to firmness and elasticity develop gradually over consistent treatment cycles, typically over a few weeks.

Can phototherapy be integrated into an advanced skincare regimen?

Yes. Phototherapy may be used alongside professional or at-home skincare routines. The nano-mist feature is designed to support hydration and topical application during treatment sessions.

What makes full-body phototherapy different from a light therapy mask?

Light therapy masks are designed for convenience and close-contact facial use. To prevent overheating against the skin, they operate at lower energy output and primarily utilize shorter visible wavelengths. Treatment is limited to the areas directly beneath the LEDs.

Full-body phototherapy systems are engineered differently. With non-contact light delivery, deeper-penetrating wavelengths, and higher-performance energy output, they distribute light more evenly across the face and body in a single session — supporting more comprehensive exposure and more noticeable cumulative results with consistent use.

What role does nano-mist infusion play?

Nano-mist produces an ultra-fine hydration layer during treatment, intended to support skin comfort and optimize the application of topical skincare products.

Am I a candidate for LED light therapy?

LED light therapy may not be suitable for individuals with light sensitivity or certain medical conditions.

Consult your healthcare provider before use if you:
• Have a history of epilepsy or light-triggered seizures

• Are currently taking photosensitizing medications

• Have received recent cortisone or steroid injections

• Are under medical treatment for a serious condition

The PRÉDIRÉ Phototherapy Dome has not been evaluated for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Use is not recommended without physician approval.
If you are unsure whether light-based therapy is appropriate for you, seek medical guidance prior to use.
